1/31/2020: Continuing as we've been doing

Agenda


1. Updates:
  • WMSCI paper
  • MH thesis: need to schedule something on a Th if possible (EP is generally available on Th).  We can try for noon on Feb. 13 if EP is also ok with that.
  • Welcome back VJB
  • AAS meeting will be F-Sa April 3-4, submissions due March 1.
2. Discuss: Funk and Magee 2014 - we'll pick up with section 4 next time, focusing on VB's thesis this time since we didn't get to it last time.

3. Re-examination: VB thesis (updated) - Start with Fig. 12. We discussed 12-14, and will start next time on Fig. 15. See https://dberleant.github.io/thesis.pdf.


1/24/2020: Continuing from last week

1. Updates:
  • AAS paper has appeared! Congratulations!
  • WMSCI paper: acceptances are sent in the first week of February.
  • MH thesis. Latest version sent out has more descriptions of the figures but not enough; DB had asked him to add even more descriptions already, based on the last version he sent out. Others agree. 
  • Anything else?
2. Discuss: Funk and Magee 2014 - pars. 5-end of section 3.

3. Re-examination: VB thesis (updated) - Start with Fig. 12.
